Ohio bottle lottery offers chance for top shelf liquor. How to enter

If you're looking to add some rare liquor to your shelves, Ohio Liquor is offering you the chance. The Autumn 2024 Bottle Lottery is underway. Several bottles of rare and highly-coveted Pappy Van Winkle are among the items that can be won.

Here's how it works.

A liquor lottery offers people the chance to buy a rare spirit, according to Ohio Liquor.

You can enter Ohio's bottle lottery online, for free. Winners are chosen at random and notified by email. They can buy their selected spirit at an Ohio Liquor store of their choosing.

The lottery opened Monday and will close Oct. 28.

Ohio residents of drinking age, with a valid driver's license or state ID card, can enter the lottery. Member of the military on active or reserve duty, and members of the National Guard stationed in Ohio, are also eligible.

If more than one bottle is included in the lottery, you can enter for any or all of them. But, you can only win the chance to buy a bottle once, according to Ohio Liquor.

The spirits included in the autumn lottery range from $130 to $450. All bottles are 750 ml. They are:
