Man Hit Pedestrian With Glass Bottle After Asking For Money: Police | Brooklyn, NY Patch

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a man they say hit a pedestrian in the head with a glass bottle on Monday in Kensington.

According to the New York City Police Department, an unknown man approached a victim in front of 206 Ditmas Ave. around 9 a.m. on Monday and asked for money.

When the victim refused, the perpetrator hit the victim in the head with a glass bottle and then fled the scene southbound on Ditmas Avenue, according to police.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken by emergency responders to Maimonides Medical Center with a gash in his head, NYPD officials said. The victim is expected to survive, police said.

Police did not release a description of the perpetrator but said they suspect it is the man in the security camera photo above.
