Victim bashed in head with bottle during Brooklyn robbery

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage of a man accused of bashing a victim in the head with a glass bottle during a robbery in Brooklyn on Monday morning.

At approximately 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, a 24-year-old man was approached by the suspect in front of 206 Ditmas Ave. in Kensington, cops said.

According to officials, the suspect asked the victim for money and when the victim refused, he began to strike the victim in the head with a glass bottle.

The victim sustained a cut to the head.

The suspect fled the location on foot without taking any property, traveling southbound on Ditmas Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
